Original era manufacture. A nice unmolested example of a Nurnberg style Black/White Morion helmet as worn by city guards and militia about 400 years ago.

Evidently the Fleur de Lys emblem on each side of the helmet is representative of the Holy Roman Empire, and overall the helmet exhibits a high degree of expertise in its manufacture, but you can certainly tell it was hand made. Around the lower edge of the helmet body are 10 decorative brass bosses, five to a side(one is missing), with a decorative edging design on the top of the comb and helmet rim.
