Original WW2 British emergency ration tin as used by commonwealth soldiers.

Every soldier was issued one of these tins to keep in their webbing in case of emergencies. The tin contained chocolates and other high energy items and was only suppose to be opened on orders from an officer. Whether this actually happened I don't know. Once opened most soldiers kept their tins for carrying tobacco etc.

A nice collectors item and excellent for filling up that webbing set or haversack.

Getting harder to find now as WW2 equipment seems to be drying up.
