A vintage tin Mickey Mouse savings bank, early 1930s, made under licence by Alex Harvey & Sons, Auckland.

Alex Harvey and Sons Ltd was formed in 1911 in Auckland by Alexander Harvey. At first they began making tin canisters for products such as 'Houghton's Motor Oil' and 'Tip-Top Furniture Polish'. Within a few decades the company became one of New Zealand's leading office furniture manufacturers.
