Technically this is not a fossil as its not the remains of a living creature. It is basically the bottom of the sea floor that was sculpted by waves. You can see similar patterns along the shore of many places in the sea - especially around islands.

I bought out a large quantity of leftover fossils from an estate and there were two of these "ripples". I have never seen any before. They were found in western Australia where there is the oldest rocks on the planet.

This is coming from Australia. I used to have a crystal shop in North Shore Auckland (Earthly Treasures) where I had the lowest priced rocks and Crystals in New Zealand. I often get old customers asking me to come back as the New Zealand rock clubs and shops dont offer the same value that my shop did.
