A Little Piece of New Zealand History
This beautiful souvenir keyring is made from a genuine NZ shilling featuring a figure of a Maori warrior in a warlike pose carrying a taiaha, a traditional weapon. The taiaha was made of wood or whalebone for fighting at close quarters. It was usually 1.5-1.8m in length and was made of three parts, the upoko (head) the arero (tongue) and the tiana (body). This really is a little piece of New Zealand history. Dates on the coin may vary.
