Rare Tauranga and Rotorua photo albums pair.
Documents the life of a colonial fruit farmer who owned the first car in Tauranga with views early Tauranga and Rotorua ,maori people and buildings both towns and a tour of Rotorua. One album inscribed to Anial from her loving father G. Hamilton Grapes May 1st 1907 Tauranga .
there is a total of 105 Gelatin silver photographs[51 in the Tauranga and 54 in the Rotorua album, each approx.15.5 cm x 11cm or a tiny bit smaller or larger. Vast majority of photos are hand inscribed.
Photos in good condition ,on the whole retains strong tones and with little age toning. Light surface marks or scuffs to some photos. A few aged toned.
Albums some rubbing to edges/corners. Tauranga album with stain/marks to the front cover.
Albums fully complete with nothing removed and no missing stubs.
