A rare tea pot advertising a gold mine in Waihi, and showing its mine railway shunting ore or spoil in front of its Cornish Pumphouse. Made in the Austro-Hungarian Empire between about 1910 and 1914.

It displays wonderfully well, but is missing part of the inside rim. No other chips or cracks in the porcelain.

A very rare piece of early New Zealand mining and industrial memorabilia.

The Waihi Museum recently received some of this service, and have asked for information on it (you can find this online). I don't know if they have run any more details to earth.

It measures 140 mm high and is about 225 mm in length (spout to handle), and is about 110 mm wide.
