This long awaited reference work was published by the Numismatic Society of Auckland Inc. in March 2007 and forms an encyclopaedic record of Anton Teutenberg's contribution to the medallic history of New Zealand .
The book describes over 400 pieces of Teutenberg's work .
This is the most complete history ever attempted of any Australasian engraver and is not only a numismatic catalogue but an historical record of Auckland in the late 19th and early 20th centuries .
The authors Jim Duncan and John Cresswell have been working on this history for over 40 years .
Teutenberg produced pieces a number of New Zealand centres and his work included company seals , commemorative , agricultural and fire brigade medals . Also bravery awards , tokens , jewellery and an array of stock medals .
