This gorgeous Mother of Pearl (natural shells) six-piece dinner set was purchased during the late 1960's to be used at extra special dining functions. They saw very little actual use but being natural shells there are imperfections but no cracks or chinks or other damage.

They're so pretty they were displayed in a china cabinet for 10 years and since then have been in storage for about 40 years.

The set isdressed and shined natural Mother of Pearl. The plates are quite thick, solid and heavier than you would imagine, not fragile at all. Lovely set of matching knives and forks with accompanying two smaller condiment bowls and spikes.

Plates are about 18cm diameter, small bowls almost 9cm long and the knives & forks about 12cm long.

Pricing: Look up Mother of Pearl shells on Google or eBay and you'll get an idea what the shells are worth each. Then add the other five shells, bowls and cutlery.

Shipping: Buyers can pickup in Wellington, or we will courier nationally with tracking and insurance at buyers cost. The items if couriered will be carefully wrapped, and double boxed with bubble wrap, but at buyers risk. Courier costs will be advised on completion of sale based on your preference.
