This painting "Rocky Cascade II" is part of my 'Organic Earth' series. It uses texture to show the layering and revealing of history, weathering and time-passing on the landscape.

"Rocky Cascade II : had fun creating this one with a variety of colours underneath, then a limited neutral palette over the top. Also painting on a linen canvas - which is oh so smooth. Had to rough it up a bit for certain areas." (Christine)
