A quite neat, retro 1960s - 70s ?? Elliot Crew, STORM CLOUDS GATHERING (over yachts) original painting, as per photos. (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc & make things look brighter & better than they really are) Quite a neat piece I think. Looks to be done on board. It is framed & glassed. Am guessing 1960s - 70s, ?? I am guessing it is an acrylic, and not oil, but could be wrong - so only buy or bid if the medium used does not matter to you. To me, the artwork looks good, has some, to me, minor marks, chips & spots etc, mostly on the cardboard surround. The painting itself has a lot of paint crazing and cracking etc, but still looks fine for all that. but I think it is fine for what it is, and to me, still looks fine, especially as a picture on the wall. Frame looks wooden, has marks scrapes bangs indents chips, needs a clean, etc etc, but, again, is ok for what it is, a rustic piece. The frame measures approx 260mm x 215mm odd. What you can actually see of the art work itself is approx 160mm x 120mm odd. Measurements are given, so please use those & compare them to something else you own to give you a good idea of size. There's a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state & condition etc, & to help you decide its value & suitability to your use, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition and other things you may want to know. And if not sure, ask a question !!!! (some people buy to use, some for display, some for props in a play, etc etc). We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk.
