I bought this original painting of Mount Taranaki sometime ago with a collection of paintings by I think well known Taranaki Artist Violet Rowe but cannot confirm this as unlike her other paintings I cannot see her signature on this one yet it does have the same characteristics of her other works with accomplished brush work in acrylic paint on board, it measures 650mm x 560mm over the nice bronze / gold enamel wood frame and the painting has a couple of small scuffs only so is still in nice condition with lovely colour and tone and the frame is sound. The backing board has some paint over it quite common on her work, backing board is firm and ready to hang. The frame is a little dusty with light to moderate surface grime, light to moderate surface ware will clean up fine and is in sound condition. The backing board has some natural age browning and light to moderate surface grime.
