A quite neat original painting of Castle Rock in the Coromandel and is signed Gene Kilburn and dated May 1971, as per photos. These photos lighten it up a bit, and to me, the 1st photo is a better guide to true colour. (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc & make things look brighter & better than they really are) To me, it looks quite good. Has minor marks, spots, wear etc but I think it looks quite neat and quite fine. Looks to be acrylic, but could possibly be an oil, so is sold as it is, whatever it is. (so if it really matters to you, one way or the other, then just give this auction a miss) . It is signed and looks to be either canvas board, or canvas over board or ply etc. But, to me, it does look quite neat. The frame has dings bangs, marks, paint wear & chips etc etc but still quite livable. It is not glassed. The frame measures approx 480mm odd x 385mm odd. What you can see of the actual art work is approx 435mm odd x 345mm odd. Measurements are given, so please use those and compare them to something else you own to give you a good idea of size. There's a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state and condition etc, and to help you decide its value & suitability to your use, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition and other things you may want to know. And if not sure, ask a question !!!! (some people buy to use, some for display, some for props in a play, some for use as whatever).
