A quite neat & very retro, perhaps going on to antique ? original painting titled, Highway In The Black Forest by F Meinerth ?? Germany, as per photos. (the flash can change colours & tones a bit) Now, on this painting, the signature is there, but it is incredibly faint, and incredibly hard to photo, Meinerth is now my best guess. (thought it was F Meineith - but helpful watcher has suggested F Meinerth, and looking at one of the photos on the auction, this Meinerth seems more likely - but you have a look & decide for yourself. I have included a photo of this artists signature from ANOTHER painting (and that painting as well) that I have on another auction, just so you can see what it looks like. (so only bid or buy if you are happy with what it is, whatever it is) This auction, just in case someone gets confused, is for ONE painting, the painting with the Lake, as per auction title. I think it looks quite neat. Has minor spots, marks, scrapes etc etc from age, but still quite ok for what it is. it is framed & not glassed. The frame is quite ornate in a sense. It has a wooden frame with little marks, wear and scrapes etc from time as well, but still quite ok for a semi rustic thing. Looks like it may be done on wood. The frame measures approx 325mm x 270mm odd. What you can actually see of the art work itself is approx 250mm x 195mm. Hopefully there are enough photos for you to decide for yourself if it suits your needs or uses, whatever that may be. We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk.
