A quite neat original oil painting of what I think is Mt Cook, or something similar, although on the back it says Mt Egmont (Mt Taranaki) that is signed B Childs (Bett Childs) as per photos - (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc & make things look brighter & better than they really are) Quite a neat painting that looks quite well done. It looks to be done on canvas board in a wooden frame. stretched over a wooden frame. It is quite textured. I think it is in good reasonable condition for its age, has odd little spot and marks & wear etc, but basically fine. I think its quite neat, and would be great in the right setting. AND of course, as we are not sure of the mountain, only bid or buy if whatever mountain it is does not actually matter to you. Frame has marks & scrapes etc, but basically quite fine for what it is. The frame measures approx 425mm x 320mm odd or thereabouts. What you can actually see of the apinting itself is approx 340mm x 240mm odd. Measurements are given, so please use them to compare to something else you own to give you a better idea of size. There's a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state and condition etc, and to help you decide its value & suitability to your use, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition and other things you may want to know. And if not sure, ask a question !!!! We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk. Couriers & PO etc do not cover antiques, collectables & heaps of other things so is sent entirely at your risk. Please note the different postage options and choose the right one for your situation. (so if you are rural delivery, choose the Rural delivery option) And sometimes there may be more expensive options, which can be good when combining auctions (if it works) and the smaller option for a single item.
