A wonderfully engaging, brooding oil painting by celebrated Auckland artist Russell Hollings.

This work is in his signature style, which draws heavy inspiration from classic French-Impressionism, which compliments so well the New Zealand landscape, and the artist's’ relationship with it.

This particular artwork is a talented representation of the painters attitude towards, and innate understand of tone, atmosphere, and composition

Hollings is an established artist, and his works are in high demand, being held in collections both locally and internationally. This is Hollings at his best, a large, and very respectable excellent example of his work, and an Auckland landscape, no less.

Unfortunately the frame although complementary to the work, is not in perfect condition - and while I don’t believe it needs to be reframed, it does have some apparent dings and scrapes, as photographed.
