An original water colour painted probably in the 1950s.
The Uawa River is a river in the Gisborne region. It begins at the confluence of the Mangatokerau and Hikuwai Rivers, and meanders south for about 10 kilometres before flowing into the sea at Tolaga Bay.

Lois Watkins nee Davis, gained a Diploma of Fine Art, Christchurch in 1947. Wife of artist Kennett Watkins [1847-1933], mother of current exhibiting artist, Josephine Davis.
Dimensions 550mm wide x 440mm height. Signed. The frame and mat need replacing to show off the painting better.
