Offered here is a superb and expertly executed watercolour of the iconic Mount Cook by listed New Zealand artist, John McIntosh Madden (1856-1923).

Aspect: This reminds me of a watercolour view of Mt Cook done by Nicholas Chevalier.

Size: The painting 34 x 55cm The frame is 61 x 80cm

The frame is in overall excellent condition, relatively new, with a few marks that aren't overly noticeable. The mount is a double mat with a triple v-groove around the top mat for detail. There is a spacer between mats for depth.

Condition: Overall very good. Unexamined out of the frame. The glass on the inside could do with a clean to allow a better clarity and colour to come through the glass.
