"Turkey Choir"

Oil on canvas, with original wood framing 390 x 590mm. Artwork only 300 x 500.

Clearly signed in oil E.V.H. 98.

Historic social artwork from 1898.

So amazing that you can almost hear the Turkeys singing.

Provenance: Estate of David Latimer, who's who of NZ business in the 1890's, and understood to be painted by a friend of his wife. A time in history when women were not expected to work, but allowed "hobbies".

Anyone else have an E.V.H. artwork?

Never seen anything like it. Rare, but good enough to be in a museum or public art gallery.
