Description
An original landscape oil painting on board by well-listed British landscape painter George A. Boyle (1826-1899) .
This impressionistic landscape is comprised of short visible brushwork executed alla prima, depicting lush deciduous trees to the right-hand side, with a path flowing to middle where a figure stands at the path edge. Boyle’s signature is painted to the lower left-hand corner. The painting is presented in an ornate gold tone wooden frame. Boyle’s work is found in various collections including the Erewash Museum, William Morris Gallery, and the Local Studies and Archives of Barnet.
