NEAT “THRESHING” SCENE FRAMED PHOTO

This is a neat photo! – Nicely framed

The thrashing machine, or, in modern spelling, threshing machine (or simply thresher), was first invented by Scottish mechanical engineer Andrew Meikle for use in agriculture.

It was devised (c. 1786) for the separation of grain from stalks & husks. For thousands of years, grain was separated by hand with flails, & was very laborious & time-consuming, taking about one-quarter of agricultural labour by the 18th century. Mechanization of this process took much of the drudgery out of farm labour.

This photo includes the fantastic Steam Engine & Thresher

Measurements –

Overall: 420mm Wide x 345mm High

Photo: 235mm Wide x 185mm High

In good condition. Wear consistent with age & use. Some marks on frame.

Would look great in a farm house, man cave, shed, etc

A great christmas idea!
