Description
Three designs showing some of Hamilton's iconic buildings at the heart of the city centre of the recent past by artist Terry Moyle. Auction is for ONE of these designs at A3 size.
LEFT: Colonial Mutual Life building.
A fine and rare example of a multi-storey, Moderne style building in New Zealand. The CML building is depicted as it was in the mid-1970s with one of Garden Place's famous fountains.
MIDDLE:
This scene is depicted as in the late 1950s. It shows the early 1950s Art Deco inspired National Insurance Building and the streamline moderne facade of the Ford Dealership in Hamilton, Armstrong Motors.
RIGHT: BNZ Building.
This is a front-elevation of the 1960s modern style BNZ. A strong Kiwiana factor in this design with a famous Hamilton Blue bus and Bell Tea advertising. This building has since been demolished.
