There aren’t lots of research questions available, so I am sure you will appreciate these activities.

This 34 page resource, which will be emailed to you, as a .pdf file, is more suitable for students Year 4 to Year 8, and includes

• 30 sets of ‘Kiwi' Challenges.
  Each Challenge has 10 questions on a variety of ‘Kiwi Icons’ including land features, celebrated New Zealanders, Native Plants and Animals and our Towns and Cities.

There is a box, adjacent to the question, for students to record their answers.

These Challenge sheets will be great for

• Homework questions
• additional 'early finisher' activities
• individual or group research topics
• timed on-line tasks e.g. 10 questions in 10 minutes!

Have a 'Kiwi' Challenge Champion!

A valuable extra activity based around the Challenges, is to choose one answer from the 10, to investigate in greater depth and then complete a more detailed report on the subject.

Included in the resource are four additional A4 pages, which students could use for additional activities on the challenges. i.e.

• An outline map of New Zealand to plot landmarks, towns and cities.
