The Down at the Rocky Shore book/CD is a fun, science, music and language resource for preschool and primary school children. I wrote the song when I was principal at Enner Glynn School in Nelson and It has been enjoyed by children and adults ever since. To make the recording I enlisted the help of the Richmond Montessori Preschool pupils and violinist Denise Glover. Roger Lusby of Sing Out Kiwi produced the CD, capturing the enthusiasm of the Montessori children. The Copy Press in Nelson printed the book so it is an all Nelson effort! The catchy tune reflects my lifetime interest in folk, country and Irish music and it will get your toes tapping. Strum along with ukulele or guitar. The music is included. Enjoy.
