A reprint of the first illustrated edition of the classic animal tale of an otter named Tarka. The novel describes the life of the otter in its habitat area of the rivers Taw and Torridge in Devon. The book includes illustrations by British nature artist Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe. Originally published in 1927 and made into a movie in the 1970s, it is still in print today.
