Richly coloured and wonderfully realised illustrations - beautiful paintings, full page illustrations, by W.J. Belcher with ornithological notes by R.B. Sibson, published 1972. Some of the featured birds are Reef Heron. Grey Goshawk, Pacific Golden Plover, Velvet Dove, Giant Forest Honeyeater, and many more. 24 birds in all.

Small tears of front cover, light ageing on the first few inner pages and cover, but all other pages, and illustrations, are in clean, tidy and undamaged condition. There is a mark on one of the illustrations, but I believe this is from the original drawing.

Length 26 cms, width 20 cms and depth 1.2 cms. -------------------------------­-------------------
