This is the story of Stanley's expedition to find Livingstone as recounted by Peggy Hervey Jackson. It identifies some discrepancies in the established version as the journey is re-enacted. Stanley's notes and sketches were used, thereby, "...obtaining a graphic picture of the problems he faced on his harrowing thousand-mile trip across Africa." The book contains some great illustrations and maps to support the adventure. All proceeds from the sale of this book got to the Red Cross.
