Author, Robert J O'Neill, investigates how a former Bohemian Corporal, Adolf Hitler, was able to influence the highly professional and non-political Imperial German Army. The process by which Hitler and his infamous Party Chiefs, untrammelled by any inconvenient code of honour, were able to indoctrinate their professionalism and patriotism and build up a mighty war machine that was to wreak havoc in the coming years, is explained.
