by Scott McVarish

Scott McVarish interviewed 20 key people who have brought the green movement in NZ to its present popularity, pulling their voices together to show a common vision of a better world.

The book is in 3 sections. Firstly, all 20 individual ‘greens’ talk about their feelings on society, their own philosophy & motivation, & how green they think New Zealand is.

The next section focuses on people in group or projects, showing the :green" diversity of activities’- from politics to alternative businesses & health care.

Last, he looks at the future. Each person discusses challenges, impediments, future directions, & hopes.

This style is effective, giving cohesion to potentially disparate views & opinions.

For others concerned with social change & employment issues, Greening New Zealand offers a wider perspective on the ‘green’ movement and its interdependence, and would interest a wide readership.

Written by Scott McVarish at the age of 20, in New Zealand where he lived for 2 years. He's the founding attorney at the Immigration Law Office of Los Angeles, P.C. focusing on complicated family immigration matters, appeals, post-conviction relief, removal defense and H-1b visas among others.
