Description
by Graeme Sinclair
New Copy
Zane Grey started something with his book Tales of the Angler’s Eldorado – New Zealand; published in 1926. It squarely placed New Zealand on the international fishing map. The thrilling accounts of battles with giant marlin and sharks, and lyrical account of trout fishing in the pristine Tongariro river acted as a magnet for anglers, all over the world, drawn to this angler’s eldorado.
For the last eight years Graeme Sinclair has been continuing what Zane Grey stated as he has traveled New Zealand and the Pacific filming the ever popular Gone Fishin’ television programme. His travels have taken him to remote and pristine places in pursuit of the fish that inhabit those places. From the giant broadbill of the Middlesex Bank, to the trophy trout of Lake Okataina. The resulting programmes have told not only his audience in New Zealand but in eight other countries around the world about the superb fishing available to all in New Zealand.
In this his latest books he not only goes in search of the Anglers Eldorado but finds it and along the way meets a lot of interesting people and experiences some of the best fishing action ever recorded.
