Intact hard covers. BIG .. 280 mm by 230 mm by 70 mm. Weighs 4. 2 Kg 1116 pages. Some damage here and there.. Binding as shown..paint spots on front cover etc. Silver fish ? holes which are only in the index pages and dont affect any of the printing ..see photos. . First few blank, title and introduction pages missing . . First page is shown in photo which appaers to be page V so Im assuming there was 4 pages of introduction notes. .Describes the industries, people and history of the region in great detail. A social history with numerous biographies of use to family historians. Many photographs of named people, businesses etc etc etc. Comprehesive is and understatement. Canterbury as it was in 1903. 114 years ago . If you can find a better one and can afford it dont bid but these are a rare find nowadays.
