Description
This is an awesome collection of guides and guiding books including :- 1) Trefoil tales - true stories about the girl guides, printed in Great Britain by Wyman & Sons in 1956, by Vera Armstrong, Elizabeth Hartley and Alix Liddell, illustrations by Jennetta Vise; 2) Games for guides by A.W.N. Mackenzie, Glasgow, published by Brown, Son and Ferguson Ltd 1959; 3) Practical camp cookery for guides and guiders by E.M.Anderson, Glasgow, Brown, Son and Ferguson 1952; 4) An ABC of guiding by A.M.Maynard, published by The Girl Guides Association London 1953; and 5) The patrol system for Girl Guides - adapted from The patrol system by Captain the honourable Roland E. Phillips, with a foreword by Lord Baden Powell of Gilwell, founder, published by C. Arthur Pearson Ltd London in 1956, 11th edition. All books are in good used condition but 4 of them have a piece cut out of the index page in the front as guides and scouts always seem to want a piece of paper for something when they are out on their adventures! This piece of missing page however does not have any effect on the collectibility or the readability of any of the books. All clean and dry and smoke free and tidy and highly collectible. Questions very welcome. This is a reluctant sale as I have no job and have a family to feed, so if you would like to make me a generous Buy now offer, I would be very interested.
