This auction is for two books on Common Prayer.
Book One: Title: The book of common prayers of the Church of England: its making and revisions 1549-1661. Set forth in eighty illustrations with introduction and notes by Edward C. Ratcliff
Book Condition: Very good for its age. The inside has some foxing and marks throughout, but the text and illustrations are clear. Strong binding.
Dust Jacket Condition: Surface wear, tear, marks and bumps. Has been taped at the bottom (see photo).
Book Two: Title: The Scottish book Common Prayer 1929. Notes on its origin and growth, with illustrations from original documents by Alan Campbell Don.
Published by S.P.C.K. London in 1949.
Book Condition: Very good for its age. The inside has some spotting throughout, but the text and illustrations are clear. Strong binding. There is a previous owners name in the inside cover. The cover has some sun discolouration to the top (see photo).
