"Somerset Trading Co Bridgwater Late John Browne & Co Ridge Tile Photographed: near Pontymoile Basin, Pontymoile, Pontypool.   Bridgewater was a brick & tile centre in Somerset. A lot of Bridgwater goods were shipped across the Bristol Channel in a two way trade, coal from South Wales, other goods from the West Country. John Browne traded from 25 West Quay in Bridgwater, from 1859-1894; they were then taken over by the Somerset Trading Company Ltd, who operated from 1894-1939. "
