Price is for FOUR drinkers.
No more dirt, debris or droppings in drinking water and less wastage.
These drinkers ensure that your birds are always provided with a hygienic water source.
Chickens are easy to train to use this new technique of drinking. Remove all other sources of water and the birds will quickly figure out how the nipples work by pecking at the silver nipple which releases drops of water into the drip catcher.
Chicks as young as ten days old can use these which saves litter being kicked into their water.
Unlike vertical mounted drinker nipples, the drip guard prevents water dripping on the ground, causing wet areas where bacteria breeds. There is so much less wasted water and you can be assured that your birds are drinking clean water.
These horizontal nipples are spring loaded and don't leak. They only release water when the bird pecks them and they have a positive seal as soon as the bird stops.
We are saving an astonishing amount of water since converting to this system. This means no more scrubbing out fouled up water bowls daily and water tipped out and wasted on the ground. Our birds have a fresh water supply at all times and we only need to refresh the bucket every few days. Keep an old dish brush by the tap.
How to fit:
The tapered thread makes it easy to fit. Drill a 9mm hole near the bottom of a lidded bucket or container and screw in by hand until firmly in place. Ensure the pointed V shaped side is at the bottom.
Sit bucket on a block so the nipples are at an accessible height.
We suggest drilling a couple of small holes near the top of the bucket to reduce the vacuum created by the lid. This will allow the water to flow freely.
A quality European made product.
