In 2018 I brought a trio of Anconas at the Taranaki Chook Show and then purchased some little unsexed chickens from a lady down in Otaki where I also purchased some fertile eggs. I got second with the cockerel at the 2019 Taranaki Chook Show and first and second with 2 pullets at the same show. I sat a sitting of eggs out of my Anconas and one hatched. The rooster is out of my sitting of eggs. In 2016 I went back to looking at chook shows. The hens have just started laying again for the season from moulting
