This machine is a beast! It is a heavy duty machine capable of delivering a lot of coffee. The steam power is pretty awesome, so fast you have to be on your game when steaming milk. It has a 4.3Kw element, and with the pump draws 5.1Kw. It does work on single phase, but needs the higher amperage socket with the longer earth.

I have had the machine assessed by a person that hastime in the trade. He says that a new machine of this capacity would be around $15K, but in second hand condition is worth $1.5-$2K. I am asking the lower end of that range as the doser on the right hand group looks to need replacing. The right hand steam wand leaks a bit, so could be replaced if you need both wands going. Parts are available for this machine still, either in NZ or online.

I have owned this machine since 2004 with visions of setting up a mobile coffee van. I stripped it down and sent the groups and boilers to Expresso Engineers for $400 worth of servicing. It has been stored most of that time, only seeing a bit of domestic use for a couple of years.

Cosmetically the outside stainless is fine, although I have taken off the original plastic trim that was cracked and brittle. Interior wise it looks the age it is, but apart of issues outlined everything is still functional.. Unlike a lot of equipment made, these machines are designed to be serviced and last a lifetime.

I can demonstrate the machine for you if I go to a little trouble, I have have wired it to fit into my stove socket. I can plumb it to a threaded tap. I made a good coffee on the day of first listing, 10 April. Plus a short video of it expressing.

Dose wise it has auto settings for 1-3 cups, with an additional option or small or large. I presumably large gives you a long black. There is push button control for manually pouring the shot. The controllers both work.

There is facility for a magnetic pickup that will automatically start the shot when the handle is fitted, but pickups are not with the machine.
