Prince A. S. Obolensky was a Rurikid prince whose family fled Russia after the Russian Revolution of 1917, settling in London. He was known as The Flying Prince and excelled in rugby, gaining two rugby blues representing Oxford University. In 1936 he scored 2 tries on his England debut in a 13-0 victory over the NZ and gained 3 more caps that year. Tragically, on 29 March 1940, a day after being recalled to the England squad he was killed during training when his Plane overshot the runway on Martlesham Heath, Suffolk. The design features the English Rose as a smart appliqué and the vintage Oxford crown on the front chest and Ellis Rugby branding on the arm and is manufactured from Satin touch 100% Cotton.
