PYROD BLACK CD-R 700MB 80min 32x 20 PACK

This auction is for one 20 pack box of black CD-Rs, 700MB, 80 minute, up to 32x write speed, in slim jewel cases. The read side media of these CD-Rs is black, and the label side is black with a 50mm x 5mm clear area where you can hand write a label with a felt tip pen - see pictures.

Manufactured by PYROD Taiwan and were sold in NZ by Jaycar.

These are in new, unopened condition, with each jewel case individually cellophane wrapped.

This PYROD CD-R media is extremely reliable. Using hundreds of these CD-Rs I had no data failures writing and reading with PC optical drives DVD-RW (LG, Plextor) and BluRay RW (ASUS), and no problems reading using a variety of HiFi transports : CD, DVD, SACD, (Marantz, Oppo, Pioneer, Sony, Yamaha).

I used hundreds of these CD-Rs when I used to burn music CDs. I found music played back on black CD-Rs with black labels sounded significantly better than the standard “silver” CD-Rs regardless of their label colour - I did a lot of experimentation. Lots of discussion about this on the internet.

Moved to a music server so I no longer require these CD-Rs. Worth a try if you are burning music CD-Rs, want some black CD-Rs for your PlayStation games, or just want some cheap individually packaged media. Before buying please check the internet re black media compatibility with your PC optical drive and CD transport.
