You asked for it and we got it. This is the new improved hard drive cable for the mid 2012 13" MacBook Pro.
The cable has the part number 821-2049-A and it replaced the more prone to self destruction 821-1480-A. The older cable is prone to repeated failure. Apple has manufactured an improved part to stop it from failing.
This is the part I get asked for most for MacBook Pros and it is IMPROVED & BRAND NEW.
This hard drive cable is for a MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Model A1278 Mid 2012) thunderbolt. The Part number is 821-2049-A (replacing your 821-1480-A)
