This is the DC in board for a 13" MacBook Pro non Retina A1278 and its NEW. Still packed in the foil packet. It may even have that "New DC-Inboard smell" when you tear into the packet !!

If you are having problems such as not charging, shutting down or not turning on then this could be a cause of those problems. Sometimes you can see black marks or eroded pins on a MacBook Pro DC in board.

I have photographed the part numbers so you can check it against the one that may be faulty. It would pay to make sure the part numbers match before ordering.

In order for the power adaptor to charge the battery, you need four things to work. The power adaptor has to work, and the battery has to be good, AND the DC In Board has to work, as it is a necessary link between the two inside the computer.

The power port takes a lot of abuse as the power adaptor is constantly plugged in and out. It can become physically damaged and no longer work. If this happens, you will have to repair or replace the DC In Board.

These are not suitable for 15" MacBook Pro or Retina MacBook Pro of any size or non-unibody MacBook Pro. If you are not sure you can ask.
