This is the MUSTPOWER ONLINE UPS SYSTEM 6KVA/4.8KW, incorporating true Double Conversion technology with external battery pack. It provides perfect protection specifically for computer equipment and communication systems. A rectifier converts the alternating current from the utility power to direct current. This direct current charges the batteries and powers the inverter. The inverter generates pure sine wave AC power. Loads are thus powered entirely by the UPS. In the event of power failure, the batteries power the inverter. This eliminates all mains power disturbances.

Connect 16 12v batteries in series externally, these can be quite minimal if all you are needing the UPS to to is clean power, e.g. from a generator. Or use large batteries if you want an extended run time of days or weeks when your mains power goes out.
