We have a magnificent stack of mountain kahikatea, the proceeds of the Wanganui flood. These boards have been especially quarter sawn for strength and/or sound qualities. The boards range from 300 x 50 down to 150 x 50mm. Generally five metres in length, they are clean planks, well milled out of very close yellow heart. This makes them most suitable for boat building and instrument making, or any food preparation surfaces. This is something to put away for a special project. Photo example of flat sawn board.
