Using mobile phone battery technology, these Lithium Polymer batteries have the high voltage of alkalines, but are rechargeable. Raving reviews from PCworld.com BEWARE no 1: these do not charge in standard chargers. See below for our chargers provided with the batteries. You also CANNOT charge other batteries in our charger BEWARE no 2: these do not out-perform alternatives on ALL criteria: Alkalines perform better/longer (but are not rechargeable) an NiMH performs longer in e.g. torches (but they drop off and then not work anymore in e.g. controllers) so, MAIN advantages: higher output and quick charge But not longer lasting

• Delivers top output longer than alkaline

• capacity 2800mWh, equates to 1870 mAh (this is what they usually compare batteries with). is a bit lower, but not much, than NiMH or alkaline.

• Holds its charge better than NiMH over time
• charges in its own charger of any usb: phone charger, laptop, car charger, etc.
• a level voltage curve: it stays high, until all of a sudden it drops to nothing. Important for remote control toys, controllers
• better lifespan: more recharges
• Much faster charging

Compared to alkaline (same voltage)

• lower capacity (but this is often offset by holding the needed voltage for longer)

• better voltage curve
• saves a lot of $$$ and environment

Compared to flip top or cable-in USB batteries, 1.5V

• less convenient charging, because you still need your own charger

Conclusion: these batteries (as tested by my children in their Wii controls), give considerably less frustration regarding running out, than NiMH
