13" Dobsonian Telescope

Very good hand crafted mirror and very solid marine ply construction.

I'm only selling it because I do mainly astrophotography these days, and it takes up space in the garage.

It's been listed a few times before, and has attracted quite a few followers, but so far no bids - I assume people are waiting for the price to drop. It won't. I had it out for a look the other night and it's worth more than I'm asking for it, so if nobody wants it I'll be keeping it.

Comes with removable wheels for easy moving, and breaks down into top + bottom + tubes for travelling.

Has a 2" Crayford focuser, which I fitted in place of the original.

I also fitted it with encoders and electronics to make it a "push-to" scope (ie. you select your target on a PalmPilot device and it tells you where to move the telescope to), but haven't had that running for a while. I'd be happy to see if I can get that working again if that's of interest, and will include all the gear required for it - except a computer that will run the PalmOS HotSync app, required to get the software onto the Palm device that goes on the telescope.
