Description
LINKS IN THE CHAIN An audio system can be compared to links in a chain. Clearly the more links in the chain, the greater the need for highest signal integrity. Any audio system is only as good as the weakest link in the chain.
XLR BODIES / CONTACT PINS & SOCKETS Our XLR bodies are manufactured from metal, ensuring the highest levels of mechanical robustness. XLR bodies are then finished in gold electroplate. Contact pins and sockets from high purity gold plated brass, soldered conductors. Highest electrical conductivity. Vital for low level signals.
CONDUCTORS Highest purity, multi stranded, large cross sectional area, oxygen free copper.
CONSTRUCTION Signals multiple OFC, Poly Ethylene insulation, enveloped in braided OFC. Outer sheath of highly insulative and robust PVC material.
OUTER SHEATH Pure woven braid of anti-static nylon material. Works in tandem with the ferrites to prevent and dissipate any negative effects of induced EMI, RFI and the possibility of static electricity accumulating and interference.
FERRITES Each cable employs a ferrite sheild. High electrical resistance of the ferrite leads to very low eddy current loses, thereby preventing stray RFI from interfering with signal integrity.
TESTIMONY: T o appreciate XLR (Balanced) over the more common RCA topology, it pays to familiarise yourself with XLR technical advantages.

I've listened to both RCA and XLR interconnects in a variety of audio systems. A VPI turntable connected to a Plinius Pre/Power and a Rotel CD player connected to a Perreaux integrated and feel both cables offer advantages over regular versions, however the XLR cables have the added advantage on account of employing a balanced topology of cancelling any induced noise that may be picked up. The background is “blacker” with XLR cables in use which is in my opinion a highly desirable aspect and why I recommend XLR (Balanced) over the equivalent RCA topology.
