EVEREADY RAYTHEON ER-280 Embossed Plates. Engraved Base.

Tube type: Full-Wave Rectifier, power supply. 

RARE! Circa. 1925 up to 1945, the tube is very rare and sells on eBay for ~$100-$150 USD per item + shipping. (FYI: Please see picture as an example.)

ER 280 identical to = 80 = 280 = EX680 = VT-80 = KX80 = RGN380 = V580 = ER80 = 2445 = 57T280 = NX280

substitute tubes: 5Y3, 5Y3GT, 5Y3G, 5Y3GB, 5W4, 5AZ4, 80S, 5Z4, 5Z4G, 5Z4GT, GZ30, CV1863 etc.

Filament: Vf 5 Volts / If 2 Ampere

Note: Tube tested on my SENCORE TC162 MIGHTY MITE VII tube tester. Tube read strong good: 1st plate @83, & 2nd plate @80 where bad tube reads below 50. Just FYI: please see the images to compare with one BRAND NEW in BOX (NOS, NIB) Mullard 5Z4G tube which read ~@85 on my tester.

Also tested in my ALTUM SET mono block (designed for 5Z4G or 5U4, 5U4G, 5U4GT tubes) with excellent result and the tube sounds fantastic.
