Sony Trinitron 27" (70cm ) WEGA Gate CRT TV

In perfect working condition, $1 reserve so could be a bargain for someone needing a cheap, decent-sized tv for Freeview etc.

Selling on behalf of an elderly gentleman. Here is his sales pitch:

"Ok write this down: This is the heaviest TV in the world and probably all of F@##$%^ space & time.

I've had it hooked up to my Tivo box for the last 5 years but the Tivo is being switched off so tell 'em this is the Last Straw. I give up trying to keep up with technology; I'm going back to radio and I don't want this monstrosity in my lounge anymore.

Mind you these Trinitrons seem to go forever so it doesn't feel right to just dump it like they dump their own kids with the grandparents these days (*ok you'd better not write that or they'll call me an angry old reactionary Talkback narcissist).

In my day we didn't sell useless crap to our neighbours on 'Trade Me In' on the hyperspace or whatever you call it. I'll tell you one thing about this TV though - it's different to the new tv's - this was built to last. A lot like me and you - we're like night and day, kid. They don't make 'em like this anymore, and I'll tell you something else, in my day we couldn't afford days, we only had nights. Remember that when you're 81.
