The Boya BY-PVM1000 is a professional, broadcast quality condenser shotgun microphone for your DLSR camera / camcorder / digital recording device. Commonly used in film production, a shotgun mic has a narrow pick up pattern, allowing you to pinpoint your audio source and eliminate most noise from the sides and rear of the mic, making it great for capturing dialogue. It has a built in 2-step High-pass filter to give more control over unwanted ambient noise. Its 1/4" 20 threaded cold shoe mount lets you place the microphone on your DSLR camera, audio boom pole, camera shoulder rig, etc
