This is a custom built bed that we built when our second child arrived. We were living in a house bus and needed to maximize space but still wanted the safety of a cot for the baby. This is built on a regular cot that had a side that slid down. When we put the bunk on top it was too hard to get into the bottom to put the baby down so we made it into a hinged door instead. It works brilliantly and is strong. It has a latch to keep it shut. The older child can climb the ladder and sleep on top.

This would be ideal in another house bus or tiny home or batch. It has been disassembled with all the connections being marked for easy reassembly. All you need is a power drill or square head screwdriver.
